Agricultural Entomology Laboratory

The Agricultural Entomology laboratory has various instruments to provide an extensive understanding of insect identification, structure, classification, and management of beneficial and harmful insects. This laboratory contains insect display boards for taxonomy, beneficial insects, field crop pests, and horticultural crop pests. A rich collection of insects in various orders are stored in the laboratory for conducting practical class needs. Other basic equipment like microscopes, mounting apparatus, dissection board, and insect rearing cages for mass culturing purposes, plant protection equipment like traps (light traps, sex pheromone traps, aggregation traps,etc.) and sprayers are also available in sufficient numbers

Plant Pathology Laboratory

The laboratory is provided with equipment and apparatus used to carry out experimetal activities for teaching and demonstration purposes. Students are given hands-on training on the assessment of important plant diseases, diagnosis of plant diseases based on characteristic symptoms, causal agents, the morphology of an isolated microorganism, immunological and serological characteristics of the pathogen, and integrated disease management practices and recognize the impact of plant disease on human affairs.
